Llantrisant track description

This track is a 3-4 minute run which is a good time for a DH track.

Over view

From the start which is found close to the north shore you will find the track a bit slippy in these top sections with a lot of small roots dotted about on a hard tyre this part of the track will get your heart pounding as its in a over covered wooded area.

The middle section has had some nice work done to it and is a little more open with a few jumps and a nice section of single track which wines down through head height bushes into the berms and down to the doubles.

The bottom section which is close to the car park is more natural and can be hard to follow a line through but with a couple of jumps on the way and a nice drop off it’s a quick section but be careful the track ends straight onto the road .

Ok  from the top go past the north shore out of the trees chicken run or doubles you choose down the slippery slope to a small berm out around a tree along a straight across a fire track into the tress left right across the roots long turn across roots into a tight turn to the left into the rut which guides you out into the light to a flat turn across little roots turn out using all the track watch small tree which you will clash elbow to truck with over small hump peddle through here jump the next small hump turn left to right and down the slope to a double section which you will probably do as two single steps ,feather the brakes through the roots into the light and a off camber switch back ,as you leave the switch backs compress the step down and see if you can jump out clearing to roots and landing the transition   across the fire road up over the crest press in and through the berm may need a peddle or two and launce the built up jump or before the berm peel off left and do the two jumps next to it until you feel up for it .

After landing in one piece you will be flying across the fire road again into the head height brush /single track lovely and slippy twisting and turning until you pop out of the bushes onto the switch back berm nice work on this I like it pop over the top and flat out to either the doubles or of to the side and around the fire road, look for the entrance for what is now the bottom section.

Dropping in off the fire road you are faced with a cement pipe to us as your take off ramp which you have to either go long or whip your bitch out to the right and land it cool as you are dropping onto another fire track ,start to look right now and you will see a bus stop to your right in there you go out the other side and straight along to the gap jump got to be 20 feet or more across the track and into a section which you may find hard to follow a line here but just head down you will find it again if you stay high you will soon face a medium size jump but this one has a big lump in the landing zone you need to look at distance here 10 foot will do ,landed intact sweep left off camber sweep right in the groove carve left and take your pick little gap or through the dirty puddle (I got a wet trainer ) time for another peddle to the drop off go slow on the approach as right after the drop off the track bears to the left again then to the right continue down at speed as you will now be on the brake to avoid a car crossing the end of Llantrisant dh track.
